Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has been voted Premier League Player of the Month for December. After depositing outstanding results in the past month
The England international has five goals and an assist in five games in the last month. That also helped him reach his 100th Premier League
goalscoring record . Sterling started December by assisting Ruben Dias in the win over Aston Villa, before netting in the Premier League. Against Watford and
then against Wolves, he became the 32nd player to score 100 Premier League goals. After hitting the penalty taker to win 1-0.
He then scored more goals against Newcastle United, including a double in the game. “The Blues” beat Leicester City 6-3
“I am delighted to receive this award again. But December is an amazing month for the whole team,” Sterling told the club’s website.
“The Premier League is the most challenging league in the world. So winning all seven league games in December was unbelievable.”
“Helping goals in those games made me feel good and happy. Hopefully we can keep this form going because 2021 is a great year for us.”
“We all want to end the season with a trophy. And that will be our goal from now until the finish line.”
This is the third time Sterling has received the Player of the Month award. and for the first time since November 2018
